SA: Another three meningococcal cases

ADELAIDE, Dec 5 AAP - Two infant boys and a 20-year-old man have been admitted to hospital
in Adelaide with meningococcal disease.

The Department of Human Services said the cases had all been reported since Friday
last week but there appeared to be no link between them.

The mother of one of the infants was also treated for suspected meningococcal but tests
had not yet confirmed she had the disease.

The three admitted to hospital were all reported to be responding well to treatment
and were in a satisfactory condition.

The cases took the number of confirmed meningococcal cases in South Australia this
year to 36, compared to 32 at the same time last year.
